Maybury Riding Stable is fortunate and grateful to reside within the borders of the Maybury State Park. The park has much to offer in addition to our horse riding activities, and you might want to plan a day of different activities here!
Maybury State Park contains almost 1,000 acres of gently rolling terrain, open meadow, mature forest, a variety of wildlife, and abundant wildflowers. The park is located and developed to give people in the metropolitan area an opportunity to get involved in outdoor recreation activities in a state park setting. Special emphasis is given to introducing people to the natural features of our environment who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it.

State Recreational Passport
For just $11 a year, the Recreation Passport is your key to exploring Michigan state parks, trails, historic sites, boat launches and other state-managed destinations. That's just 3 cents a day for a year's worth of exploration in Michigan's outdoors. Plus, it's the easiest way to support and protect our state parks, trails and waterways for the next generation. Follow the 'Michigan DNR Website' button above to register for a Passport.
Effective Jan. 1, 2018 the price is $16 when purchased at state parks.
Effective Jan. 1, 2018, the DNR added a $5 convenience fee for Recreation Passport purchases (Michigan-registered vehicles only) made at state parks, DNR customer service centers and other designated areas. It can still be purchased for $11 (or $6 motorcycles) when purchased at the time of the annual license plate renewal at the Secretary of State.
