When are you open?We are open April thru the last weekend before Thanksgiving. Our hours are subject to change - Please call for our hours. Do I need to make a reservation?No Reservations Required for hourly rentals. What about bad weather?The stable will close early due to dangerous riding conditions, high winds, heavy rains, or extreme heat. You will be contacted if you have a ride scheduled. Questionable weather? give us a call or visit our Facebook page for the most up to date information. Do you offer gift certificates?Yes. Please contact us for more details. What should I do upon arrival at the stable?Please come to the office to check in and fill out a release form. If arider is under 18 years of age the release form must be filled out by parent or legal gaurdian. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Release forms can also be downloaded from the Release Form page and filled out prior to arrival. Do I have to fill out a release form?Yes, everyone that rides must fill out a release form. Release forms can also be downloaded from the Release Form page and filled out prior to arrival. What do I wear?Long pants, durable boots or shoes ... tennis shoes work great. Please no open toed shoes, no carry on objects, camera, phone, etc. Do I have to wear a helmet?We recommend that everyone wear a helmet (we supply them.) We require children 15 yrs and younger to wear a riding helmet. Please no bike helmets, you may bring your own riding helmet if it is ASTM certified. We also have helmets available for purchase, this is a great investment for any horse lover. Are the rides guided?Yes. For your safety all our rides are guided. How long does a trail ride last?The ride takes approximately 1 hour and cover about 3 miles of beautiful horse trail. Can I ride if I am pregnant?No, for the safety of you and your baby we do not allow pregnant riders. Do you have a weight limit?Yes. For your safety and the comfort of our horses all riders must weigh less than 240 pounds. Do you have an age limit?Yes. All children must be at least 8 years of age to ride on the guided trail ride. We do have pony rides for younger children. Can my Grandparents ride?Horsebackriding may not be suitable for the elderly, or individuals, with arthritic conditions, joint replacements,back injuries etc. Can we ride double?For the comfort of our horses and your safety no double riding is allowed. Do I need experience to ride?No, we will give instruction before leaving, plus there is a trail guide to assist. What type of riding do you offer?All of our rides are western. What is the pace of the ride?Our rides are all walk/trot rides depending on riders ability. Do I need a vehicle permit to come horseback riding?Yes. We are located inside Maybury State Park and a Recreation Passport is required for entry to park.
